Mazdas Carvus currently serves as the Company Champion of the Iron Blood Chapter's 2nd Company.
History[]
Early Life[]
Born on Uvias, Mazdas joined the brotherhood during his Season, and seemed for the longest time to be just another Neophyte. That was, however, until his first battle, when he watched much of his squad die, and fell to the Blood Rage, killing many Orks in the process, but had to be restrained and even knocked out.
Mazdas later underwent two more of these Blood Rages, the third time he managed to calm himself down, and was later made a Bearer of His Will, a type of Company Champion. However, being a Bearer is to be more feared by his fellow Astartes, than held in awe.
He has since resigned himself to his fate, training, in and out in the art of melee combat, but never stopping in his studies of the art of war.

Personality[]
Mazdas is peculiar among his his brothers. While most Iron Blood are known for being rather solemn, even stoic, Mazdas can be at times jovial, and known to make quips. Despite this he takes his role as Company Champion very seriously, and is seemingly mute when in battle, unless he needs to relate something to someone.
His joking nature may just be there to hide the darkness within, as a Company Champion he has undergone the blood rage enough times that he believed to have master it, but he knows better.
Mazdas had desired to gain a leadership role among his brothers, as he held a mind for strategy and for picking apart the weaknesses of his enemies. He may not admit it but he is frustrated with his Chapter's, his Captain's refusal to listen to him and being forced to use reverse psychology against him
Appearance[]
Mazdas is the size of a typical Astartes with a strong jaw line, and brown eyes. His hair is black and cut neatly short, but also has grey stripes along his temples. On his forehead are two service studs
Abilities and Traits[]
Carvus is a skilled combatant, an excellent swordsman and warrior, which is help by his limited application of the blood rage. His tactics often seem unorthodox, attacking in places unexpected
Equipment[]
- Personal Power Armor: As a Company Champion, Mazdas is allowed to customize his power armor, sporting red line down his face as, but also Ork Skulls on his backpack. He sports a black cape. There is string, with fangs tied it, wrapped around his left arm, most likely from the Ork Nobs he has slain.
- Blade of His Will: A customized Power Sword for his use, a chapter relic meant only for use by Company Champions.
- Bolter Pistol: His preferred firearm.
- Combat Knife: Standard Issue
